The New Dimensions School is a Burke County, North Carolina Charter School serving students in kindergarten through fifth grade.  We are a free, public school located in Morganton, North Carolina.  Our teachers, all Highly Qualified and licensed by the State of North Carolina, build on the interests and talents of our children, and those become the foundation for academic achievement.  Our curriculum is based on the Core Knowledge Sequence developed by E.D. Hirsch.

The mission of The New Dimensions School is to create learning environments that support children in becoming producers of their own learning, and in the process learn to love learning. 

The New Dimensions School is built on four basic beliefs about students' learning:

• Teachers use the students’ interests and talents to create the foundation for meaningful academic achievement.
• We are successful because teachers and parents work together to help students learn how to learn.
• We have built strong school, home, and community relationships that support our students’ learning and enhance school programs.
• Concepts are taught using evidence-based best practices.
